Patient CareStyles: A Breakthrough Way to Personalize Healthcare
Share:
Over the past five years, our firm has conducted six quantitative research studies across a variety of patient populations and care settings, utilizing our award-winning HUMAN Brand Insights Model to more deeply understand patient attitudes, perceptions and relationships with their healthcare providers.
Using predictive analytics and cluster analysis, four distinct and significantly different types of patients were identified, each with their own unique health and wellness lifestyles and preferences for receiving care from providers. We refer to these markedly different approaches patients have for engaging with healthcare providers as their preferred CareStyle™ and these have significantly impact on their healthcare engagement and behavior.
This research report summarizes the consolidated findings of these six studies with nearly 12,000 adults in the
United States.
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
- A total of 11,843 adults in the United States completed online interviews in which quantitative data on their healthcare attitudes, perceptions and provider relationships was captured.
- Among the research participants, 6,878 were recruited through their healthcare provider, while the remaining 4,965 were recruited through national panels of adults who have agreed to participate in research in exchange for compensation.
- Doing so has provided insight from known and recently treated patients of healthcare providers, as well as adults from the general population who may not engage with providers consistently.
